Christmas at Granny's

This holiday season was especially special to me because I knew it was the last one with just me and Forrest. It would be the last time we sleep in on Christmas and leisurely go about the week while Dana and Michael were here.

BUT, I love the fact that next year our little man will be here!

I tried to soak up as much of the holiday cheer as I could!

The kids picture got photobombed : )

The Saturday before the 25th we went to celebrate Christmas at Granny's.
(That's where all the pictures are from)

We enjoyed the evening at Granny's and can not wait for next year!

A Gift for Daddy

Aiden James decided to give his Daddy an early Christmas present today.

While laying in bed this morning, I felt Aiden kicking like normal. I told Forrest and he immediately put his hand on my belly. About two seconds later, he felt a big KICK! Aiden continued to kick every few seconds for twenty minutes! It made Forrest's day!

I'm so thankful my little one decided to give his Daddy a tiny glimpse of the joy I experience on a daily basis!

Sunday at Grandma's

My pregnancy hormones have me going back and forth between cracking up and balling because Daddy said...

"We should do a family pool and guess how much weight you are going to gain at the end of your pregnancy!"

Thanks, Dad!

Just for the record right now I'm laughing!

A Little Red & Green

This past Saturday we had our annual Christmas party at Ninny & Pa's.
We kept it simple this year -food & fellowship.

As as bonus, the beautiful bride, Sara, was showered with gifts!

I am so excited for Sara & Kenneth's wedding. Although I won't be able to attend because of a certain bambino on the way, I will definitely be praying for their union!

21 Week Doctors Appt

We had our anatomy scan Monday. (12/10) My OB looked over all Aiden's scans and said that everything looked great! We do, however, have to go back for another ultrasound in 4 weeks to look at his heart. There was nothing wrong with his ticker, the tech just wasn't able to get the turkey turned to get a good view.

Pray for us! Even though nothing abnormal was seen, I still find myself worrying a little!

Now for the main attraction, here's my baby boy!

I love his profile pictures!

Not sure what the "bubble" looking thing is between his chin and  chest?

Arms

This is Forrest's favorite picture! He loves his baby's feet and makes sure he counts the toes EVERY time!

What a blessing Aiden James already is to us!

Doggy Day in Heaven

Since the weather has been incredible lately, I've taken Lexi to the dog park just about every day. She loves it! I will ask her "Do you want to go to the dog park?" She will immediately run to the front door and sit patiently waiting for me!

We haven't had any run ins with any other dogs. They have all been extremely friendly!

If anyone is interested in joining us just let me know! We love furry friends: )

It's a BOY!

Two years ago, when the baby bug hit me hard I knew a wanted my first born to be a boy! I love all of my nieces and love to them to pieces but there is just something about the nephews that makes me want to spoil them rotten. I want to cuddle them ALL DAY LONG!

When we found out I was pregnant, I knew it was a boy! I didn't publicly proclaim it, outside the family, but I was positive! Every time time I told Forrest about my feelings he would tell me he thought our baby was a girl! It would make me so mad! (in hind sight I know he was doing it to prep me in case it was a girl)  Come to find out he had a hunch it was a boy too and just never said!

These past two days have been a dream for us. I keep squealing and Forrest can not wipe that silly grin off of his face! I knew I would be ecstatic but Forrest is even more excited than I am! He keeps calling me from work asking what our boy is up to. (I always tell him shopping at Gymboree : )

Without further ado, I present to you OUR SON...

AIDEN JAMES

I can taste the turkey!

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I've spent my morning brainstorming about my contribution to our Thanksgiving feast. Since nutrition is no where in the picture during the holidays I went straight to Paula Deen!

Pumpkin Gooey Cake
Chocolate Pecan Pie

Lady's Cheesy Mac
Creamed Spinach
Corn Casserole
I'm already thinking about the taste, smell and family time during my favorite holiday!

Going Private

I'm planning on making my blog private by the end of the week. It's for no big reason other than the fact that pregnancy has made me quite paranoid...and the fact that I've been watching way too many episodes of Criminal Minds, 48 Hours Mystery and Law & Order!

If you are interested in reading my blog, send me an email at FBSumner@hotmail.com and I will add you to the list!
