This is how we celebrated the real Valentines Day!
The night included: homemade goodies, a movie, a PINK EYED husband and lots of hand washin'! No snugglin' around these parts. I was deathly afraid of getting the dreaded infection!
Romantic huh?
I think we are cursed this Valentines Day! We will try for better next year!
I don't know what got into me on Sunday, I baked and baked and baked. ALL DAY! (You would be proud though. I only ate one small cookie as a taste test)

We decided to celebrate Valentines Day on Saturday so that we could enjoy it and take our time! Since Forrest made dinner last year, I decided to continue the tradition and cook a steak even better than he did. (The jury is still out on whose was better) Our menu included: steak, baked potatoes, salad and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert all on our fine china from the wedding!
The night would have been perfect if.....(post to come)
I have the sweetest husband in the world! He made me a wonderful steak dinner which was delicious! It was so nice just to sit down and watch TV while he was slaving away in the kitchen. After he was finished he said "This cooking stuff is exhausting." What a husband : ) It seems hard lately to sit down and focus on each other with life going in every direction. Yesterday was a day when we did nothing but wait on each other.
I thank the Lord everyday for giving us each other!!!
