We spent Saturday outdoors going to Jake and Bayli's games.

My 23rd birthday was probably the best yet! It wasn't one particular thing but the whole day that made it unforgettable!

(This is Forrest's hardcore look)

Forrest has been so busy at work (which we are so thankful for) that we haven't spent as much time together as we usually do. So when we set out on Friday night for a movie and shopping spree, yours truly was ecstatic. We, well I talked - he listened the whole way there and back! To make things even better, I woke up this morning and first thing I heard was "Happy Birthday Week Honey!" Can it get any better?

The night included: homemade goodies, a movie, a PINK EYED husband and lots of hand washin'! No snugglin' around these parts. I was deathly afraid of getting the dreaded infection!

Our Sick Puppy

.....Lexi hadn't eaten the chocolate covered strawberries! I didn't panic too much until Forrest got on the computer and googled how much chocolate is toxic for a dog. Well, our baby hit the limit. We called the emergency vet since it was late Saturday night and they said to give her 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide. We did that -half all over me and half down her throat....NOT FUN! They said this should make her throw up and get rid of the chocolate. It did but not for an hour later. She threw up most of the chocolate and then had dry heaves all night long. Sunday morning while getting ready for church I found bile with blood in it downstairs on our new floor! That's when we knew we had to take her in! We went to the vet where they gave her a shot for nausea and put her on a chicken and rice diet for the next 72 hours. We are at 24 hours out and still watching her close.

Our Special Dinner

We decided to celebrate Valentines Day on Saturday so that we could enjoy it and take our time! Since Forrest made dinner last year, I decided to continue the tradition and cook a steak even better than he did. (The jury is still out on whose was better) Our menu included: steak, baked potatoes, salad and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert all on our fine china from the wedding!

Perks of a Big Family

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy being an aunt! I enjoy hearing "I love you, Aunt Brittany!" It's so special to me!

Superbowl Sunday

We spent Superbowl Sunday with Layne, Nolan & Audrey...who we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! The best part of having so many nieces and nephews is that we do all then fun things (play Wii, read books and dance) with the kids but when it's bedtime we GO HOME! We have our freedom and get our baby fix too!

I had my first baking "gig" on Saturday for a soccer party. I enjoyed doing it because I had fun and made a little money : )

Changes

Our little Lex has made a few stains on our carpets (while going through the training process) so we decided to bite the bullet and get new floors. Uncle Wayne has been here all week ripping out the carpet and putting in laminate floors. It was a wreck for a few days but I am so glad we did it!
