Anniversary Numero Tres

The hubs and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary last Tuesday. We didn't do an extravagant vacation but we did something we will never forget! We spent the entire week day surrounded by our incredible nieces, nephews and their parents! We cuddled-we laughed-we spoiled! I couldn't imagine spending our special day any other way!

Our REAL Anniversary

Friday night after I came home from work, I quickly got ready then called Forrest and told him I had a surprise for him! We got in the car with HIM blindfolded. I wanted it to be a surprise and do something for him because it seems like he is always the one doing stuff for me. It's HIS turn : ) Our destination was The Cellar! I think it's quickly becoming one of our favorite restaurants! We had a great night and were so happy to spend the evening out together on our actual anniversary!

Can This Be Real?

I pinch myself this morning because I am living a dream. My life has been completely blissful lately! I have been working minimally so I have lots of time to be the housewife I want to be! I will wake up and get fully ready, do odds and ends around the house and by the time 10 AM rolls around my house is sparkling, laundry is done and Forrest is off to work with a homemade lunch! I spend the rest of the morning tending to my "garden", running errands or piddling on the computer. I think to myself "Is this really my life or a dream?" My sweet hubby work at least 60 hours each week so sometimes I feel guilty for how easy I've got it! I ask him if he wants me to do more and he replies "No, you give me everything I need. All I want is tranquility in the home." How sweet is that? The best part is that he really means it! I have been so blessed with having Forrest as my husband! Here we are married for TWO YEARS today. It feels like just yesterday that I met him at that little old church! I never knew I could love in a way that I do now!

We celebrated our anniversary this year by going to Cinebistro at Hyde Park. If you've never been, you HAVE to try it! I had a Cobb salad with flat bread ...

....and Forrest had a steak with dessert!

We loved watching our dinner while being served AND watching Limitless! Can't get much better than that!

I looked forward to going out on Friday night just as much as I did before we were married! (Well maybe a little more because I get to go home with my man afterwards:) I never thought I'd be this gooey eyed after being married for 2 years! What a blessing it is to be MRS. SUMNER!

To Eat or Not to Eat....That is the Question!

We ate...or attempted...to eat our wedding cake the night of our anniversary. The cake was delicious a year ago but not so much now. At least we followed tradition!

It seems like just yesterday when I was walking down the aisle saying I do! This year has been a whirlwind for us and we have enjoyed every second of it! I never thought marriage would be this much fun! I have done more laughing in the past year than I have in my whole life.

I am looking forward to the second year as Mrs. Forrest Sumner!

Engagement-Versary

October 19, 2008, Forrest proposed to me. Now, a year later he brought me flowers and a card for our "1 year Engagement Anniversary." (I can't forget- he also gave me a tub of my favorite birthday cake icecream) I have to say, I believe I have the sweetest husband in the world!
