Thanksgiving

Forrest and I made our annual track to Grandma & Grandpa's house this year for Thanksgiving. We stayed at Mom & Dad's Wednesday night then got up early to start the festivities. This year everyone is a little bit older and in different stages in life but it's all the same. I enjoy the holidays more now than I ever have! It was a fun trip...minus the septic tank problems!

I've Got Georgia On My Mind

It's always hard to come home from a weekend of laughter and relaxation!

The four days off felt like paradise!

Forrest and I drove to Mom & Dad's Wednesday night to drop off Lexi so they could watch her while we were in Georgia. We left for Gray Thursday morning and got there just in time to go with Dana to pick up Allie. The look on her face when she saw us was priceless...pure joy!

Friday we all went shopping for Christmas shopping in Macon. Joshua so sweet while we were there. All he was concerned about was what Forrest was doing. It was interesting to see how he has opened up since last year.

The first morning in Georgia, I asked Joshua if he wanted to wake Forrest up. Every morning after that Joshua would say "Wate Forres Up!" and so he did every morning and Forrest ate it up!!!

A Proud Uncle

Saturday we went to Milledgeville where Michael showed us around the campus. After we got back the boys went golfing...surprise, surprise! Next up was a bon fire that brought the day to a close.
Sunday morning we went to Mt. Zion, met Daddy in Wildwood to pick up Lexi and drove home!

My Two Babies

Let me start off by saying that when we first got Lexi, I was all about her. She was pampered all day long! Forrest merely tolerated her! She was basically a gift for me.... in hopes that my baby fever would go away. (Yes, I had baby fever 3 months after being married. What am I talking about? I had it on the way to the honeymoon!...anywho)

Now, the tides have definitely turned. Forrest doesn't do anything at the house without Lexi. They eat breakfast together, drink iced water together (from different cups) and if Forrest takes out the trash, so does Lexi. I'm telling you they are inseperable!

Her most recent rotteness rearing it's ugly head is at nighttime IN OUR BED! She has always slept with us but that is not enough anymore. Now she sleeps in between us, with her head on Forrest's pillow and the covers over her. If I try to take her place in the bed, she walks on my back until I give in and move over which happens 100% of the time. If she wasn't so stinkin' cute...I'd send her to the pound!

Not Our Average Wednesday Night

Things have been crazy around here so we decided to take a break from the hub bub of the busy week for a date!

Forrest called me and asked me if I wanted to go. I said sure : ) Once I got off work I hurried home to find my husband all gussied up for our date...fresh shower, cologne and date attire. I was definitely surprised!

We love going to the movies and enjoy being together with whatever we are doing so obviously we enjoyed our evening!

Bethany's Servant for the Day

Saturday I went down to Mom & Dad's for Bethany's homecoming party. Bethany had called me earilier in the week to do her hair and help out with a few other little details. I was thrilled to be asked so I jumped at the chance! I got up around 8, made breakfast then hit the road for Apopka.

Princess of the Day

Mom had made an Italian meal for the kids with Olive Garden breadsticks and alfredo sauce! It was delcious! I didn't even eat any lasagna because the breadsticks and alfredo were so good!

Picture Time

As I pulled out of Mom & Dad's driveway, I felt the same as I did back when Forrest would leave when we were dating. (You know the feeling..craving cookie dough, ice cream and chick flicks) At least I got to spend the time -better than not going, right? By the end of the night I was ready to get home to my husband!

Halloween Goodness

We started out our holiday together at Hebron. I always love going to church with my husband because it is the place where we met, where we fell in love and where we promised to be together forever! It is such a sweet time to be in fellowship with the Lord together!

Here are the goodies we brought to church. They are sugar cookies with buttercream icing. There are also some chocolate covered pretzels...My personal favorite!

Our Second Halloween Together

After church, we rested and then went to Kelly's house for Trick or Treating. Here are the sweets we made for our nieces and nephews. We made cookie lollipops and treats bags for the kids to take home. The treats below were cinnamon with buttercream icing! They smelled delicious cooking!

Halloween 2010 was a hit! Can't wait until next year!
