Disney Palooza

We went to Disney with my parents a few weeks back. (yeah, yeah I'm a little behind in blogging) It was a beautiful day. The skies were blue and sun was shining. The pictures don't do the day justice. We had so much fun! Thank you Mom and Dad for coming up with the idea. We enjoyed the day!

On the Green

How do you respond when your husband sweetly says, "How about I help you clean the house this morning and we go golfing together this afternoon?"

Needless to say- we went golfing and had a great time!

What's for dinner, sweetheart?

Our first encounter with chicken and rice was less than pleasant. Let's just say we learned a lot about having light hearted fun in the kitchen that night.

Me: The food is ready.
Forrest: Ok great. I'll be there in a sec.
Me: Silently cutting my eyes over in his direction to see if he liked it.
Forrest: It's good sweetie. I think it just needs a little salt and pepper.
Me: No, really what should I have done differently?
Forrest: I don't know but it needs something.

Once I called the chicken and rice expert I learned chicken and rice isn't JUST CHICKEN AND RICE. You have to use chicken broth too. Go me!

Beach Bums

We took a second trip to the beach two weeks after we were married with Forrest's family. It felt like a second honeymoon for us. We had a great time getting some sun with everyone. My favorite part was listening to Adam and Forrest play at night. The melody sounded was music to my ears. It was our first family trip together and we are looking forward to many more to come!

Yeah, yeah we pack A LOT!

Honeymoon Bliss

Our honeymoon started on Saturday night and has not yet ended. We are still in a euphoria. The newlywed bliss is the most wonderful feeling I've ever had. Everything about being Mrs. Sumner is fun! We are a little over three weeks married and it has been wonderful. The thing I love to do most while Forrest is working is....COOKING! There will be more stories on that to come.

We spent our days in paradise at Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa. They had four restaurants in the hotel, a large pool, two hot tubs and a spa. When we got to the hotel decked out in our wedding attire the hotel staff bumped us up to their nicest suite available. We had everything we needed. The room had a conference table, a full service kitchen, two bathrooms, a large master bedroom and master bath with a jacuzzi tub and huge shower. Our suite had three ballconies overlooking the harbour side of Sanibel. It was a breathtaking view to wakeup to every morning.
