9 Weeks Old

Weight: 

10 lb 8 oz as of June 20

Eyes:

Aiden's  big 'ole blue eyes are one of my favorite things about him.

Nicknames:

Punky, Sweetiepie

Sleep: 

Aiden is sleeping in the same room as us at the hotel so he wakes up frequently. He wants to eat around 1 am and 5:30 am!

Diet: 

I nurse Aiden in the morning and he gets breastmilk bottles the rest of the day. I'm still supplementing with no more than 1 bottle of formula a day. 

Activities:

This week we laid low, all we did was eat, sleep and made each other laugh.

Clothes:
0-3 month onesies, a few 3 month onesies, 0-3 sleepers, most 3 month sleepers are too long

Health:

Little Man has had a little bit of congestion these days. I'm religiously using the bulb syringe and saline drops every time I change his diaper and before feedings.

Misc:

Aiden touches Forrest's face on purpose.

He is the happiest right after he eats in the morning!

The only way he will go to sleep is with his pacifier in his mouth while snuggled up tight facing  me and rocking. He hates going to sleep but once he does he's out!

He started "guming" his pacifier on the right side. I have to ask the dr about that!

Lexi and Aiden are inseparable these days! She has to be right underneath him. 

8 Weeks Old

Weight: 

10 lb 8 oz as of June 20

Eyes:

His eyes just keep getting brighter and brighter...Still loving his baby blues.

Nicknames:

Sleep: 

We stayed at Ninny & Pa's for a few days after the fire. While we were there Aiden slept in his swing. Most nights he slept great -all the way through the night. If he didn't sleep through the night, he only woke up once. 

Diet:

I nurse Aiden in the morning and he gets breastmilk bottles the rest of the day. While we were going through the fire stuff, my milk supply went down. There were times when I had to give him 2 bottles of formula a day. After we got settled at the hotel, he was getting no more than one formula bottle a day. 

Activites:

Since Dana & Michael were in town this week, it was like a big party all week. He spent most of his time staring at his crazy cousins and snuggling up to Ninny & His Aunts. He is in love with all of them : )

Clothes:

Aiden's grown out of most of his newborn sleepers and a few newborn onesies. 

Health:

Little Man is fat and happy these days!

Mommy Loves:

Talking to Aiden first thing in the morning

Kissing his cheeks ALL DAY LONG

Daddy Loves:

Making his mini me laugh (no one else can bring out the belly laugh like he does)

Snuggling with Aiden right before his nighttime feeding when dozes in and out

Diapers: 

I messed up and bought the Pampers Swaddlers rather than the Pampers Sensitive that we have been using. I tried them because I already opened the package and he did great with them! Yeah for our pocketbook : )

Crying:

Aiden cries when he's hungry or tired. Actually he screams when he's tired! He fights sleep like his Daddy now!

Chop, Chop

On June 11 I had enough of the hair growing onto Aiden's neck. I told Forrest it was time for Aiden's first haircut. I'm all about my little one looking like a little man not a hippy : ) I didn't plan on having cutting Aiden's this early but it had to be done!  I was nervous about taking him out to a salon because of germs so we decided Forrest could do it! I love the way Aiden's new do turned. Forrest may have found a new calling...or just maybe gotten himself into something that he is going to have to keep up for many years to come : )

7 Weeks Old

Weight: 
9 lb 10.5 oz as of June 12

Health:
Aiden's weight was slightly under what the pediatrician would like him to be. He had to have blood draw to test for any underlying problems. The tests all came back negative...THANK THE LORD! We are now on project  weight gain and will go back next week for a weight check. 

Sleep: 
Aiden's generally going to bed around 10 pm and getting up around 7 am with the exception of a few nights. I've been waking him up in the middle of the night for another feeding since he needs to pack on the pounds! He always goes right back to sleep. 

Nicknames:
Angelpie, Darling, Baby Boy, Little Man 

Eyes:
Aiden's eyes are still a gorgeous sparkling bright blue!

Activites:
Tummy time, Swinging, Rocking while looking out the window in his room, Playtime on his playmat

Diet: 
I am nursing 2 times a day (usually in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning) and giving him pumped breastmilk for the rest of his feedings. I have had to supplement with one bottle of formula a day when /if my milk runs out. He's drinking 3-4 oz every 3 hours (or so) during the day.  

Clothes:
Little Man had just moved up into some of his 3 month onesies. I've had to put a few of his newborn sleepers away because they aren't long enough. 

Diapers: 

Pampers Swaddlers Size 1, Far more pee pee diapers than I can count, 3-4 poopy diapers a day

Crying:

Now that Aiden is getting more to eat he is way more satisfied and thus a WAY happier baby!

Aiden is a little more fussy this week than the last. He is very quick to let us know when he doesn't like something!

Likes: 

Being Cuddled, Walks, Car Rides, Bright Lights, Ceiling Fans, Bouncy Seat, Swing, Rocking, Watching the Rain (which we did a lot of this week)  

 

















Milestones: 

Aiden is making major eye contact with us especially in the mornings and when I'm nursing him. 

He's a smiley boy : )

Little Man's started cooing and moving his mouth trying to "talk."

Misc: 
Aiden started reaching out for Lexi whenever she comes near him. Lexi will usually lay at Aiden's feet and he will kick her. 

I've started giving Aiden rattles to grab for. He isn't grasping them on his own yet but will continue holding them if  I wrap his little fingers around them. 

Little Man started sticking his tongue out of his mouth all day long!

Postpartum: 

I feel like I'm almost back to my old self!
