Did I Really Just Say That?
As I was rocking Aiden to sleep for his afternoon nap, he tossed and turned. I read a book and sang "Cruise", "Amazing Grace", "Never Alone"...all of our usuals. He kept flopping like a fishing out of water and I told my 7 month old baby boy "Bubba, you need to go to sleep because Daddy will be home in 3 hours and you need to rest so you can play with him." Not another word was said and he was OUT!

10 Things
When we first found out I was pregnant, I starting planning and researching EVERYTHING! Forrest actually read more than I did!
Here's what I learned that the books did not tell us!
Here's what I learned that the books did not tell us!
- I get smiles a lot more from random strangers (especially in Publix) and return the reaction with a cheesy grin!
- Apologizing to Forrest for my happy tears is a daily occurrence!
- I worry about my little man more than I've worried about anything else!
- Hunger strikes every two hours on the dot! Feed the belly or wrath will ensue!
- Realizing my husband is even more incredible that I thought!
- Catheter's would be really convenient at the movie theatre!
- When shopping, it will be a normal occurrence to spend more on food the clothes at the mall!
- Who knew the beloved bedtime snuggles with Forrest are long gone! Now my body pillow is actually way more comfortable to snuggle up to!
- There's a constant battle over the thermostat! I'm in shorts and a tank top while the Mr. is decked out in a beanie, sweatshirt, sweatpants and fuzzy socks!
- Shaving is a major chore!

Loser Cleans the Kitchen, Winner Gets a Footrub
When the hubs and I first started dating, We were known as being quite competitive! Our favorite game to play used to be Egyptian Rat Screw then it evolved into poker and now we are onto Words with Friends. Forrest usually beats me so I admit I may have rubbed it in when I won!

This Gave Me The Biggest Laugh
My hubby always has me crackin' up! When I shot this video, Forrest was helping me clean the house AND entertaining me! What a catch : )

While I was out running my errands, I meandered into Petsmart. I walked in the door and saw the cutest kittens in the world. I have never been a cat person but why not..I love every other animal on four legs or that has wings or swims?
So I called Forrest at work and said "Hey Honey. How much would you kill me if I got a kitten?"
Forrest: "We don't need a kitten!"
Me: "Well what about a fish or a bird?"
Forrest: "I don't think it would be a good idea."
A text from him about 10 minutes after our conversation: "U R so dang cute sometimes!" : )
After making returns at Lowes, I got this

After seeing my purchase Forrest says "Did we need this"
Me: "Yes, I need another thing to take care of. It's better than the kitten, right?"

Sports Minded
Only at our house do we watch the Apopka game and ghetto rig the bottom of the TV so we can't see the score to the Rays game! (which is recording on the DVR...of course)

Icecream and Football
Me: "What's wrong honey?"
Forrest: "Nothing...(while watching FOUR football games)"
Minutes later....
Forrest: "This is just overwhelming. It's like being on a diet then having ten bowls of icecream to eat!"
Since today marks the first day of football season I guess you know what we will be doing....watching it live, watching replays, watching the commentary and then rewatching the game on the DVR!

Tired?
We have been so busy this week that work has taken up most of our thoughts when we are sleeping and awake!
Forrest: (while I am asleep tossing and turning on the couch) "Honey, are you ready to go upstairs and go to bed?"
Me: "No I don't have all the ingrediants for this frosting."
Me: (while Forrest is asleep) "It's time to get up."
Forrest: "Why don't I finish sleeping and you do those part marks?"
After reading this can tell who likes the morning and who likes the night? We are extremes when it comes to our favorite time of the day.

Do We Bleed Orange & Blue or Garnet & Gold?
This past week I decided to tackle painting the downstairs of our house. I picked out colors and away I went! My idea was to paint the living room and the majority of the kitchen gold and the cabinet walls a cranberryish color. I was so excited to paint my very own house! I dashed home everyday after work to get to right on my project.
A few very late nights later, I was finished with the kitchen but after taking a second look I realized I had done a very bad thing! Our kitchen was GARNET AND GOLD! I thought about not saying anything to Forrest because he liked it and did not even notice. I didn't have the heart to keep quiet. I just knew if I didn't say anything Pa or Dad were going to come over and say..."What are we Seminole fans now?" I brought down and said "Honey, did you know our kitchen is garnet and gold?" He said "AHH, well you know what we've got to do. CHANGE IT!"
Needless to say, I am painting over the red because we couldn't betray our entire family!

All Dogs Go to Heaven?
Forrest : "Lord, please bring peace to our fishy. Amen!"
Our beta fish, Hondo, has been alive for over 7 years. This week he has taken a turn for the worse. Our little family is all worked up over it. Lexi wants to eat him...me and Forrest want to keep him comfortable.
As soon as we get over the idea of praying for fish; we will tackle the dogs going to Heaven concept.
