Baby Food

My Little Man tried rice cereal for the first time when he was 14 weeks. He loved it the moment it his lips! I guess he does have a little bit of Ulmer in him after all : )

Fire

As most of you know we had a kitchen fire in June. I had taken Aiden to his 2 month appointment and left bottles boiling on the stove. I came home to a house filled with smoke and alarms blaring. If it weren't for the Lord's blessing, things could have been a lot worse. I shutter to think about that!

Once the fire was out and smoke cleared, we grabbed a few essentials and headed to Ninny & Pa's. Since Dana and Michael were already there we figured we'd stay there a few nights. After all... what was 2 more adults, a newborn and a nutso dog? We had a very own "spend the night party" that was actually fun. After everything that had happened it was nice to have so much support!

Once we found out we'd have to be out of the house for a few weeks, we "moved" to a 2 bedroom hotel in Brandon. (Ninny & Pa did offer for us to stay with them the entire time but insurance was paying for the hotel!)

We were able to move back in four long weeks later! I walked in and saw this...

Being that we had so much to do and an infant in tow, Forrest took 3 days off to help me get everything unpacked, cleaned and organized! What a blessing he was! It would have taken me a month by myself.

Not the most glamorous picture but this is real life! Feeding the baby in my pajamas (because Aiden had a blowout diaper ON me and all my other clothes were packed away) while hosing off the frig shelves.

Naps are so much better this week. He takes them in his bouncer in between every feeding for 20 minutes- 1 hour.

Diet:
I nurse Aiden once a day still and the rest of the day he gets pumped breastmilk. I added rice cereal to his morning routine (after I nurse him) and he LOVES it!

Little Man is back to enjoying tummy time now as long as his belly is full.

Aiden's little leg creases have become red. They don't have a smell and I make sure they get clean during a bath and dry afterwards. After talking to Ninny I learned to it comes from being fat HA!

"Rapping" with Daddy!
His Daddy in general : ) Aiden will light up when his eyes meet Forrest's (From the moment Forrest walks in the door until I put Little Man down to bed, it's playtime with Daddy)

4th of July

This year we spent the Fourth of July at Ryan & Kaylie's. It's amazing that this time last year we were packing for our Babymoon and now here we are holding our little bundle of joy!  What a blessing!

Happy Belated Fourth From Our Family To Yours!

13 Weeks Old

Weight:
10 lb 8 oz as of June 20

Eyes:
Sparkly Blues

Nicknames:
Angelpie, Little Man

Sleep:
We had a rough night the 24th. Aiden went to bed like usual but woke up at 2 bright eyed because he slept a lot the day before. I slept off and on in his chair because he was restless from 2-7.

Diet:
I nurse Aiden once a day still and the rest of the day he gets pumped breastmilk. There are days when thats all he gets and when he has to have 2 bottles of formula.

Activities:
Little Man is hating tummy time. I'm hoping it will get better next by week.

Clothes:
0-3 month and 3 month onesies

Health:
Aiden will turn from cracking up to crying in 2 seconds. He knows what he wants when he wants it and is NOT afraid to let us know.

Diapers:
Papmers Swaddlers Size 1 but I'm not sure how much longer they will last. The 1's are getting pretty snug.

Misc:
Cradlecap almost completely gone
I had to buy breathable bumpers because Little Man is getting in the habit of sticking his leg through the crib rails.

How's Mama:
Back to exercising and eating good now that we are home! It feels so good to be back in our groove.
