Beachin' It!

In early September, we took an overdue family vacation to Anna Maria Island. We spent Thursday-Sunday   at Coconut Vacations and wished it was longer. Before we left for vacation, my morning sickness was terrible! I was anxious about how much I'd be able to enjoy the vacation and boy was I surprised! I was up early Friday morning and just couldn't fall asleep. Daddy was the only other one up and he asked me if I wanted to walk the beach. I was hesitant since the mornings were my worst time but I went for it! We brought along my trusty saltines and had a great time. That morning was the best I had felt since finding out we were pregnant!

I took these pictures while on our 6 AM walk : )

Forrest and Lexi joined us on Friday. I was so glad to see them! The entire trip she was either sleeping in Forrest's lap or "sharing" food with Daddy!
I came out from the kitchen cooking breakfast to find them "reading the paper."

We hit the beach for a few pictures!

Our growing family at Sunset!

If anyone is having bad morning sickness, go to the beach- IT WILL CURE YOU! At least it did for me : )

A Heavy Post

I had a decision to make today...to be an open book about my pregnancy or keep everything "picture perfect".

I decided to spare the gross details on this blog but be real about what's going on.

On Tuesday, I started spotting and having mild cramps. Forrest was concerned but told me to keep him posted at work. I immediately started praying. As the day went on, my nerves got the best of me. I broke down and called my OB and due to the time they recommended going to the ER. I called Forrest and he dropped everything at work and headed home so we could go to the hospital. Once we arrived, I was brought back right away. The nurse took 5 vials of blood, a urine sample and my vitals. All my tests came back PERFECT! I was then wheeled back to the ultrasound tech where she took a look at our little miracle. With Forrest by my side, we were overjoyed to see our baby waving at us! It was the sweetest thing. From that moment on I knew everything was okay! The ER doc then cleared us and sent our growing family home.

I followed up with my OB Wednesday and she reassured me that the baby was just as it should be. There was no reason for the spotting! She said it could happen again in the next two weeks but if it does to not be alarmed.
11 Weeks Pregnant
I'm going to take the next two weeks easy. Forrest told me to not worry about cleaning the house if I don't feel up to it! He said "All you have to do is grow our baby."

I'm so thankful for the baby that the Lord has given us! I don't know what I'd do without Forrest by my side every single second!

Sorry for the picture overload and quality.
I took them all from my phone!

Another One to Spoil

Little Rosalie was born Saturday morning and has been a blessing ever since! Forrest and I were both in the waiting room when she arrived. It was such an exciting time for the Sumner Family. We went from 11 nieces and nephews to 12!

Rosalie and Kendall are doing great! I'm sure she's soaking her up as I type this : )

I loved seeing Luke holding Rosalie. He was so sweet with her!

To me this is the sweetest picture yet! Rosalie poked her feet out of the chair rails.
Forrest had to support them : )

Now, I'm ready to get our little bun in the oven here!

Preparing for Rosalie

A few months ago, Kendall asked me to make a special treat to give out at Rosalie's birth. I was thrilled of course and immediately went to brainstorming! I decided on strawberry cupcakes frosted with buttercream and decorated with royal icing.

I'm happy with the way they turned out...and so are my consumers : )
