Let's Go Wildcats

We are loving Bayli's softball games every Thursday night! She is incredible playing ball and was said to be a "phenomenal pitcher" by a random stranger on the opposing team! We are so proud of her : )
 She can pitch...
 ...and hit homers!
 Her personal fan base!

Meal Plan Monday

While showering this morning, I realized I may need to hit the pavement a little harder this week than usual. I "cheated" practically everyday from Tuesday to Saturday. When I say "cheating" I mean eating anything that has sugar or bad fats and preferrably lots of it!

Here is what we will be eating this week (April 8th-15th)

Monday- Chicken Salad & a Whole Wheat Roll
Tuesday- Skinny Black Eyed Peas & Ham, Served Over Rice
Wednesday- Salmon, Spinach, Roll
Thursday- Chicken Wrap, Salad
FridayMeatball Stew (Make 1 extra for freezer) with Turkey Meatballs, Corn
SaturdayFajitas (Make 1 extra for freezer), Salad
Sunday- (No Lunch @ Church) Grilled Cheese, Soup, Fresh Veggies

Bed & Bfast Anyone?

Saturday night after the wedding, we stayed at the Avera-Clarke House Bed & Breakfast. It was nice, clean and quaint. However, I think I've watched far too many Criminal Minds to stay in a bed and breakfast. As I was trying to fall asleep, I kept replaying old episodes where serial killers target those staying in small towns. I highly recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone who is not a chicken like me!

Honey Lake Plantation

Casey's wedding venue was too breathtaking to not dedicate a whole post showcasing it! I have never seen anything like The Honey Lake Plantation and am still in awe of its beauty!
This is the view from the back porch of the cabins.

The road going through the plantation.

The reception site
These big oak tree were incredible!

Looking at the adjacent cabin from the back porch.
When can we go back, soon please?

A Rustic Wedding

I am back from a whirlwind wedding weekend! I could go on and on about how beautiful and unique everything was...the bridesmaids dresses, the table decor, the wishing tree, the venue and most importantly the BRIDE.

I loved seeing all of my family. As you can tell there are a lot of us!

I need a pin-ervention!

I have crossed another to do off of my pinterest list. This is so easy peasy, quick and simple!

Mix:
1 c. Borax
1 c. Super Washing Soda
1/2 c. lightly colored Kool-Aid
1/2 c. Kosher Salt

Rinse Aid: White Vinegar

I ran my first load with my homemade dw detergent this morning -it came out perfectly clean and smelled great! I will make another batch as soon as it runs out!

A Body by God

We're back to hitting the pavement. It feels so good to be getting back into an exercise regime. Now that we've strapped on our running shoes we also decided to follow Body by God -the undiet!

Here's the basis:
No food is not naturally occurring in nature
No processed food
No white sugar or flour
No man made food

The best part is that Dr. Ben Lerner gives detailed information on what time to eat certain food groups for optimum heath. I like a specific plan so this suites me perfectly!

Morning: High to Moderate Carbs, Low Proteins, Low Fats
Afternoon: Moderate to Low Carbs, Low to Moderate Proteins, Low to Moderate Fats
Evening: Low to Zero Carbs, Moderate to High Proteins, Moderate Fats

Our dinner last night- Baked Salmon, Spinach Salad & a Whole Wheat Dinner Roll
