Our Nightly Ritual

Michael & Lauren's Shower
We got to Apopka at about 8:00 pm and jumped right in. Forrest went straight to his favorite chair, I went directly into the kitchen...and Lexi created chaos in whatever room she was in.
Mom and I decorated the cupcakes until 2 am! We were exhausted when we got done but had so much fun while we were doing it. We used a buttercream icing with fondant flowers on top. They were easy and delicious!

Aunt Becky had the privilege of wearing the "black veil." Everytime someone said the word wedding, Michael or bride they had to wear the prized headress. It was hilarious to see people trying to catch everyone else and cover up when they said it. 
Present Time! Lauren got so many wonderful things. I think we all enjoyed the shower just as much as she did. Everyone was so sweet and generous. The laughter and love in the room was overwhelming.
During a Game!
Forrest had to work on Saturday so him and Lexi stayed in my old room while the shower was going on. Bethany opened the door and found Lexi laying on top of his prints resting. So Sweet!
The whole family! Since Rachael couldn't be there, we put her present in the picture so she could be represented. We missed you, Rachael!

My 22nd Birthday!
My heart is so full of love for my family right now!
I woke up on the 18th to a phone call downstairs from Bethany at the break of dawn. She sang me a new rendition of her birthday song. (This was after Forrest woke me up at midnight to tell me Happy Birthday a million times.) Forrest and I had breakfast together then went our separate ways to work. After work, he took me to the drive in movie theatre in Lakeland. We saw Valentines Day and even brought Lexi! We had such a great time!

Our First Valetines Day
I have the sweetest husband in the world! He made me a wonderful steak dinner which was delicious! It was so nice just to sit down and watch TV while he was slaving away in the kitchen. After he was finished he said "This cooking stuff is exhausting." What a husband : ) It seems hard lately to sit down and focus on each other with life going in every direction. Yesterday was a day when we did nothing but wait on each other.
I thank the Lord everyday for giving us each other!!!
